Congratulations!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Trump\u2019s presence at Bethpage Black had raised the atmosphere on Friday, which then turned nasty towards the Europeans on Saturday and Sunday as many players, including McIlroy, were subjected to heckling and personal insults.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">McIlroy hit out against the behaviour of some fans following Europe\u2019s victory on Sunday, with the Northern Irishman saying that the \u201cunacceptable\u201d abuse had gone too far after his wife Erica Stoll had a beer thrown towards her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">\u201cIt was a rough week for all of us,\u201d McIlroy said. \u201cBut at the same time, we shut them up by our performance and how we played.
