\n\tIf you were keeping track of Jennifer Lopez<\/a>\u2018s love life in the past few years, then you were in for a wild ride<\/a>. While fans rejoiced when she reconciled with fellow A-lister Ben Affleck<\/a> in 2021, and went on to get engaged and tie the knot in 2022, their love bubble didn\u2019t last long, and the two broke things off exactly two years after their big wedding in Atlanta, Georgia<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tTheir second chance at love was bumpy, and it left the Maid in Manhattan star questioning everything about her life. Now, however, she\u2019s looking back at everything that\u2019s happened since their split, and how she\u2019s learned to heal and love herself after it. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn a June 15 appearance on the Smartless podcast<\/a>, Lopez opened up about divorcing Affleck and forcing herself to look at her life choices in a whole new way.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAfter my last divorce, I canceled my tour and I sat there and I was just like, \u2018You need to f\u2014 figure yourself out,’\u201d she said. \u201c\u2018What is going on with you? Forget about everybody else. There\u2019s nobody to blame here except yourself, in a certain way.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLuckily, those reflections became a \u201cturning point\u201d in her life. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI was able to go back to that little girl [I once was] and really look at her,\u201d the \u201cOn the Floor\u201d singer revealed. \u201cAnd just kind of going like, \u2018You did this. You did all of this. Give yourself a little f\u2014 something. A little love! Stop looking for love in other things and give it to yourself.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThose sentiments were then echoed by her sister, Lynda Lopez, who told her she needed to become her own \u201ckeeper.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs a reminder, Lopez has been divorced four times. She was briefly married to actor Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, dancer Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, singer Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014, with whom she shares the twins, and then to Affleck from 2022 to 2025. In the interview, without naming names, she said, \u201cMy life blew up in my own face\u201d when speaking about her love life. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was because of the choices I made, but also because of the fact that I had things that needed to change about myself that I didn\u2019t understand or recognize that was attracting certain things and attracting a certain type of experience into my life,\u201d Lopez reflected. \u201cThere comes a point where it\u2019s all so puzzling and wrong where you have to sit there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLopez, who just recently starred in the Netflix rom-com Office Romance alongside Brett Goldstein, finished off her relationship reflections by gushing about how happy she is. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEverything in my life has changed over the past couple years,\u201d she said. \u201cThe past 20 years, it\u2019s been one thing, the past five years has been a tumult, and then the last two years has been kind of the healing process from that tumult where I really got to know myself. The person I am today is so different than the person I was even two years ago, it\u2019s crazy. And now I can really look at my life, appreciate it for what it is and what I\u2019ve created for myself and be really happy.\u201d<\/p>\n
