{"id":504308,"date":"2026-06-17T12:20:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-17T12:20:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/504308\/"},"modified":"2026-06-17T12:20:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-17T12:20:10","slug":"irelands-exports-decreased-by-e2-8-billion-figures-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/504308\/","title":{"rendered":"Ireland\u2019s exports decreased by \u20ac2.8 billion, figures show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1781698810_900_imengine.public.prod.cmg.infomaker.io.jpeg\" alt=\"\" itemprop=\"image\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\n    Published:<br \/>\n    Wed 17 Jun 2026, 12:36 PM\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">Ireland\u2019s exports of goods were \u20ac18.5 billion in April 2026, according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">\u200bThe exported goods value was a decrease of \u20ac2.8 billion when compared with the same month in April 2025, \u20ac21.3 billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">\u200bWhen it came to the value of goods, imports increased by \u20ac2.4 billion to \u20ac13.2 billion in April 2026, when compared with April 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">\u200bExports to the US fell by 45.1% to \u20ac5.1 billion in April 2026, compared with the same month in 2025 at \u20ac9.4 billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">\u200bExports to Great Britain grew from \u20ac645.1 million to \u20ac1.9 billion in April 2026 compared to April 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">\u200bIn terms of imports, petroleum and petroleum products rose by \u20ac188.5 million to \u20ac537.7 million in April 2026, compared to the same month in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">\u200bJane Burmanje, Statistician in the International Trade in Goods Division, commented on the release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">She said: \u201cIn April 2026, Ireland\u2019s exports of goods decreased by \u20ac2.8 billion to \u20ac18.5 billion compared with April 2025. When seasonally adjusted, exports of goods rose by more than \u20ac1.5 billion to \u20ac18.2 billion compared with March 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">\u201cImports of goods for April 2026 were valued at \u20ac13.2 billion, an increase of \u20ac2.4 billion on April 2025. Seasonally adjusted imports were \u20ac13.3 billion in April 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">\u201cExports to the US fell by \u20ac4.2 billion (-45.1%) to \u20ac5.1 billion in April 2026 compared with April 2025 (\u20ac9.4 billion). Exports of Chemicals &amp; Related Products, which include pharmaceuticals, fell by almost \u20ac5 billion to \u20ac3.3 billion in April 2026 compared with April 2025 (\u20ac8.1 billion).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ew-body\">\u201cIn contrast, exports to Great Britain grew by \u20ac645.1 million (+51.7%) to \u20ac1.9 billion in April 2026 compared with April 2025 (\u20ac1.2 billion).
