\n\tAs the future of generative AI<\/a> continues to loom over Hollywood, Tom Holland<\/a> isn\u2019t worried about it coming for his job.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe BAFTA winner recently gave his opinions on the limitations of artificial intelligence<\/a>, which he noted \u201cdoesn\u2019t have a soul,\u201d explaining why \u201cI feel protected\u201d the technology as a creative.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCreativity is safe from AI because creativity has to do with the human experience. It\u2019s about emotions, it\u2019s about understanding one another,\u201d he said on Spain\u2019s El Hormiguero<\/a> talk show.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAI can sift through data, but it can\u2019t understand people\u2019s emotions. It doesn\u2019t understand the difference between being happy and being sad,\u201d added Holland. \u201cThe way artists paint, it\u2019s not about what they\u2019re copying, it\u2019s about expressing themselves, so I feel protected. [AI] doesn\u2019t have a soul.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe use of AI in Hollywood continues to be a hot-button topic. Meanwhile, SAG-AFTRA has endorsed the Trump administration\u2019s AI policy framework<\/a>, which calls for Congress to enact legislation that includes parental controls, intellectual property rights protection, First Amendment protections, expanding AI workforce development, allowing data centers to generate their own power and removing legal barriers that limit AI innovation.<\/p>\n
