\n The games begin today.\n <\/p>\n

Over 1200 athletes are set to compete at the Special Olympics Ireland Summer Games this week.<\/p>\n

Athletes will represent their Regional Teams, including Connacht, Eastern, Leinster, Munster, and Ulster, competing across 12 sports at 9 venues.<\/p>\n

There will be plenty of midlands athletes competing, with Westmeath’s David Corroon and Athlone’s Jayden O\u2019Reilly competing for Connacht.<\/p>\n

With Moira Scott, Aidan Bryant and Nikita Dunican representing Leinster from Offaly.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The games get underway today and last until this Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
