Late-night hosts discussed Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s \u201cchildish\u201d behavior at the G7<\/a> summit, his reportedly catastrophic peace deal with Iran<\/a> and a blunder over Middle East geography.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Kimmel<\/p>\n

On Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host<\/a> remarked on Trump \u201cthrowing his weight around\u201d at the current G7 summit in France, showing up 45 minutes late to a meeting with world leaders and introducing himself by saying: \u201cHello, I\u2019m the boss.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey must hate him so much, right?\u201d said Kimmel. \u201cCan you imagine the conversations that go on behind his back.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump\u2019s behavior at the G7<\/a> is increasingly childish each time he goes,\u201d the host continued. \u201cThese other foreign leaders, I feel sorry for them, dealing with him. It\u2019s like opening up a can of soda that got shaken up: you know it\u2019s gonna spray, but all you can really do is aim it away from your face.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel then turned to Republicans calling Trump\u2019s Iran<\/a> deal \u201ca tremendous foreign policy blunder\u201d, giving Tehran the power to shut down the strait of Hormuz \u201cany time they want\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cDagnabbit, we got Hormuzled!\u201d he laughed.<\/p>\n

At the G7 summit the president called it a \u201cvery strong deal \u2026 nobody knows what it is, but it\u2019s very strong\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s how you describe the smell of a dead person before you find the body,\u201d Kimmel laughed.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust to recap: we killed the ayatollah and replaced him with a younger, more radical ayatollah. We did nothing for the protesters in Iran,\u201d the host continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe used up who knows how many billions of dollars on bombs and missiles. Many American and civilian lives were lost. We gave Iran full control of the strait of Hormuz and we threw in a minimum of $300bn, \u2019cause why not?<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, Melania\u2019s wondering, \u2018How do I get a deal like that?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just goes to show you: there\u2019s no problem that Trump can\u2019t make worse,\u201d Kimmel said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe one area in which the war\u2019s been a rousing success is it did take our attention away from the Trump-Epstein<\/a> files,\u201d he deadpanned. \u201cBut don\u2019t worry, the second it is really over, we will get right back into that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seth Meyers<\/p>\n

Over on NBC, Seth Meyers<\/a>\u2019 Late Night monologue focused on Trump\u2019s Wednesday press conference where he told the media that \u201cwar is a nasty place. I see it. I see it maybe better than anyone has seen it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know \u2026\u201d responded Meyers. \u201cThere\u2019s maybe a couple of people who\u2019ve seen it better. Off the top of my head: soldiers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they say they\u2019ve seen war they don\u2019t mean in 4K,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Trump told reporters that the Iran peace deal \u201cshould\u201d open up the strait of Hormuz entirely. \u201cIt should?\u201d asked Meyers incredulously. \u201cI know you haven\u2019t released the deal, but have you also not read it? It\u2019s one page long. Are you waiting for the audiobook?\u201d<\/p>\n

In a meeting with the emir of Qatar<\/a> on Tuesday, the president erroneously said that he could walk across the border between Iran and Qatar (the countries are separated by the water of the Persian Gulf). \u201cOh no, he thinks he\u2019s Jesus again,\u201d groaned Meyers, flashing up one of Trump\u2019s AI-generated images portraying himself as a God-like figure.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Trump\u2019s renovations<\/a> to the Lincoln memorial reflecting pool have resulted in the water\u2019s surface being covered by algae just days after reopening. \u201cYikes, I thought Trump had dementia, but now I think it might be malaria,\u201d Meyers said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMove over strait of Hormuz, we got bigger water problems right now!\u201d he said. \u201cThis looks like the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool, brought to you by Mountain Dew.\u201d<\/p>\n

In other news, a Texas woman has filed a lawsuit against McDonald\u2019s for selling her a sausage McMuffin that she describes as \u201cwholly unfit for human consumption\u201d.<\/p>\n
