Hollywood star Jason Momoa<\/a> has described his role as the intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo in the new Supergirl film as “surreal\u201d, while revealing his profound affection for the character. <\/p>\n

The 46-year-old American actor<\/a>, known for his previous superhero turn in Aquaman, joins forces with Milly Alcock\u2019s reluctant anti-hero Supergirl in the sci-fi action movie, fighting for vengeance and justice.<\/p>\n

Momoa has long spoken of playing Lobo as a childhood dream, and in an interview with the Press Association, he reflected on the “crazy” reality of stepping into the role. <\/p>\n

He recounted his first scene, stating: “I think the first scene was when I got on the bike and we ride in, and that\u2019s your introductory scene \u2013 riding in on the on the space hog, fireballs going off, chaos, and you\u2019re throwing the gut hook. It was\u2026 I mean, it\u2019s surreal. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you put the whole outfit on, like everyone\u2019s looking at me and you just kind of\u2026 it\u2019s crazy, because you\u2019re like \u2018Lobo is standing in front of me\u2019. It\u2019s full-on.”<\/p>\n

Explaining his enthusiasm for the part, Momoa added: “I just think the rebels and the anti-heroes are just fun to me. I like Superman, I like the worlds and stuff like that, but that\u2019s not someone I would play. I love playing a character like this, he\u2019s just a menace. It\u2019s just fun to do those kinds of roles.” <\/p>\n

He expressed hope that fans would “fall in love” with the latest Supergirl franchise and his desire to “make more” films.<\/p>\n

Momoa, looking sharp in an all-black suit, waistcoat, and t-shirt, attended a fan event at Cineworld Leicester Square in London alongside co-star Alcock, who captivated the crowd in a chic white dress.<\/p>\n

Alcock, an Australian actress also known for House Of The Dragon, echoed his excitement, highlighting the “unconventional” nature of her Supergirl as the role’s primary appeal. <\/p>\n

She told the Press Association: “I really just wanted to bring humility, heart, grit, and sincerity.” <\/p>\n

Addressing criticism she has faced for playing a female superhero, Alcock remarked: “I think that sometimes people have made up their minds, but I hope that I can change their minds and surprise them. <\/p>\n

\u201cUltimately, at the end of the day, I love to do what I do \u2013 even if nobody saw it. For me, it\u2019s just a learning lesson and a stepping stone, and a natural part of life is that people aren\u2019t going to like you.”<\/p>\n
