That 2021 movie, before posting the second-best opening at the domestic B.O. ever ($260.1M) behind 2019\u2019s Avengers: Endgame ($357.1M), had accumulated an estimated <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2021\/12\/spider-man-no-way-home-global-box-office-to-sling-minimum-290m-in-opening-weekend-1234891192\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$78M in presales<\/a> before its December 17 opening. Spider-Man: Brand New Day takes place following the events of No Way Home, after Peter Parker has erased the memories of g.f. MJ (Zendaya).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tWe understand that Spider-Man: Brand New Day also beats Disney\/Marvel Studios\u2019 Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which opened to $187.4M in 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tRELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/lists\/most-anticipated-movies-2026\/\" data-type=\"pmc_list\" data-id=\"1236649583\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">45 Of The Most Anticipated Movies Of 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAt the global B.O., Spider-Man: No Way Home owns the third-best opening of all time with $600.5M behind Avengers: Endgame ($1.22 billion) and 2018\u2019s Avengers: Infinity War ($640.5M).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAs to whether this is the last Holland Spider-Man, Cretton told us on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/crew-call\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Crew Call<\/a>: \u201cIs there ever a last\u00a0Spider-Man? Everyone should go to this [movie] as if it\u2019s the last\u00a0Spider-Man.\u201d Despite <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/09\/tom-holland-hospitalized-spider-man-brand-new-day-1236552019\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Holland\u2019s injury on set<\/a>, the latest sequel did not get delayed from its July 31 date.
