{"id":509403,"date":"2026-06-20T09:46:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T09:46:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/509403\/"},"modified":"2026-06-20T09:46:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T09:46:08","slug":"cork-man-charged-over-lough-credit-union-robbery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/509403\/","title":{"rendered":"Cork man charged over Lough Credit Union robbery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">An armed robbery at the Lough Credit Union in Cork saw a man being remanded in custody at Cork District Court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Stephen Murphy, aged 41, of 1 Deanrock Villas, Togher, Cork, appeared before the court charged with the single count of robbery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The charge sheet refers to the offence of robbery taking place at the Lough Credit Union, Togher Rd, Cork, on Friday, May 15, 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">On the application of Sergeant Aisling Murphy, Judge John King remanded the accused man in custody until July 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The case was adjourned to allow time for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
