{"id":510309,"date":"2026-06-20T23:31:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T23:31:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/510309\/"},"modified":"2026-06-20T23:31:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T23:31:09","slug":"teenager-killed-in-incident-during-donegal-international-rally-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/510309\/","title":{"rendered":"Teenager killed in incident during Donegal International Rally \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">A boy in his mid-teens has died following an incident at the 2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/donegal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/donegal\">Donegal<\/a> International Rally on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The teen was among a group of spectators injured in the incident involving a car taking part in the event at Trentagh, near Kilmacrennan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/an-garda-siochana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/an-garda-siochana\">Garda\u00ed<\/a> and emergency services attended the scene about 8km from Letterkenny.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The teenager was brought to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/letterkenny-university-hospital\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/letterkenny-university-hospital\">Letterkenny University Hospital<\/a> where he was pronounced dead. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The incident took place during the 12th stage of the event.
