The All-Ireland football championship is finally back to the old-school knockout football.<\/p>\n

After weeks of Round 1, Round 2A, Round 2B matches and Round 3 clashes, the championship will be down to its final eight teams by the end of Sunday’s action.<\/p>\n

The quarter-final draw will take place live on RT\u00c9 Radio One’s Morning Ireland on Monday morning, shortly after the 8:30am news bulletin, with all four quarter-finals set to be played at Croke Park on the weekend of June 27 and 28.<\/p>\n

Round 2A winners Cork, Louth, Galway and Tyrone booked direct qualification to the quarter-finals last weekend.<\/p>\n

Kerry joined them on Saturday after an impressive 4-18 to 0-17 victory over Armagh in Killarney, ending the Orchard County’s championship for the second consecutive season.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mayo secured their place in the quarter-finals after Saturday evening’s Round 3 win over Meath.<\/p>\n

That leaves two places still to be decided on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Dublin and Donegal meet in a blockbuster encounter at Croke Park, while Monaghan host Leinster champions Westmeath in Clones.<\/p>\n

Once those games are completed, the quarter-final lineup will be finalised.<\/p>\n

Under the draw format, the four Round 2A winners will be placed in one bowl and drawn against the four Round 3 winners.<\/p>\n

Round 2<\/p>\n

The eight winners from the first round were drawn into Round 2A. The winners of those four fixtures advanced straight to the All-Ireland quarter-finals. The losers advanced to Round 3.<\/p>\n
