{"id":510932,"date":"2026-06-21T10:25:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-21T10:25:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/510932\/"},"modified":"2026-06-21T10:25:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-21T10:25:14","slug":"shandons-e250m-winner-people-still-talk-about-the-big-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/510932\/","title":{"rendered":"Shandon&#8217;s \u20ac250m winner: \u2018People still talk about the big win\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"contextmenu internal_Body1st\">\u201cI buy all my tickets here now,\u201d one local told  The Echo as Shandon St came out last week to celebrate one year since Clifford\u2019s Centra sold the winning \u20ac250m EuroMillions ticket.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The record-breaking win represented Ireland\u2019s 18th EuroMillions jackpot win since 2004, with many in the community still speculating about who the winning family syndicate could be.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Shandon local Sin\u00e9ad Donnelly told  The Echo there was \u201ca huge buzz around the place at the time, but also everyone was questioning who it was\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">\u201cI don\u2019t normally do the Lotto, but I have bought a ticket here since,\u201d said Ms Donnelly. \u201cIf I won, I would\u2019ve bought a new car, lots of holidays, and a pony for my daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Rory Neville of Blackpool said he was \u201cdelighted to see someone in the area get it\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">\u201cI buy all of my tickets here now, I do the Lotto about once a week.
