\n\tStudiocanal has unveiled a first look at Romeo Beckham<\/a> in his acting debut \u201cForty Love,\u201d directed by renowned fashion photographer Pierre-Ange\u00a0Carlotti.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cForty Love,\u201d which marks the first directorial outing of Carlotti, is produced by\u00a0Hugo S\u00e9lignac\u00a0and Paco de Bary at\u00a0Chi-Fou-Mi Productions, a\u00a0Mediawan\u00a0company, and co-produced by Studiocanal and Manna Studios. <\/p>\n

\n\tBeckham stars opposite Paul Kircher (\u201cThe Animal Kingdom\u201d), Guillaume Canet (\u201cSink or Swim\u201d) and Benjamin Voisin (\u201cThe Stranger\u201d), with an appearance from Catherine Deneuve. The movie is scored by 070 Shake and Johan Lenox.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe story revolves around Sacha Gallo, a tennis superstar who\u2019s been training with his father to win a major trophy in Paris. But the arrival of a charismatic new rival \u2014 played by Beckham \u2014 challenges everything Sacha thought he understood about competition, ambition and himself. \u201cFor the first time, he faces an opponent of an entirely different nature \u2014 love,\u201d the synopsis reads. \u201cA force as exhilarating as it is destabilizing \u2014 and far more dangerous than anything he has encountered on the court.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBeckham, the son of soccer legend David and designer Victoria, has been modeling for several years for the biggest luxury brands like Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga.<\/p>\n

\n\tS\u00e9lignac, who had five movies world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and is producing the next Leos Carax movie starring Jenna Ortega<\/a>, said he\u2019s \u201clong admired [Carlotti\u2019s] work as a photographer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere is a rare tenderness, melancholy and strength in his images, and his move into directing felt like a natural next step to me,\u201d Selignac said, describing the film as a \u201csensual, romantic and deeply moving romantic fable and coming-of-age story\u201d about the \u201cdemands of high-level sport, and everything that lies beneath the surface \u2026 led by outstanding performances.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCarlotti penned the script with Ga\u00eblle Mac\u00e9, whose credits include Rebecca Zlotowski\u2019s \u201cA Private Life\u201d starring Jodie Foster. <\/p>\n

\n\tOn top of co-producing, Studiocanal is handling worldwide sales and will release \u201cForty Love\u201d theatrically in France on Nov. 25.<\/p>\n

\n\tChlo\u00e9 Marquet, Studiocanal\u2019s head of international sales for films and TV, said: \u201cCarlotti\u2019s singular visual language gives the film a real edge, while its exploration of desire, competition and identity will resonate with audiences worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n
