\n\tBenedict Cumberbatch<\/a> and Claire Foy are returning to the world of Judith Kerr\u2019s \u201cMog\u201d picture books for Channel 4<\/a>\u2018s animated special \u201cMog\u2019s Bad Thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCumberbatch will reprise his role as Mr Thomas opposite Foy as Mrs Thomas while \u201cBridgerton\u2019s\u201d Adjoa Andoh also returns as the narrator alongside Amelie Law as Debbie and Teddy Skelton as Nicky.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe cast, who previously appeared together in the animated special \u201cMog\u2019s Christmas,\u201d also for Channel 4, will be joined this time by John Thomson (\u201cBreak Clause\u201d) as Mr Bunce, Katherine Parkinson (\u201cRivals\u201d) as Mrs Ramsbottom, Mawaan Rizwan (\u201cJuice\u201d) as Ali and Amelia Theodorou as Amy.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMog\u2019s Bad Thing,\u201d which is directed by Robin Shaw (\u201cThe Tiger Who Came to Tea\u201d) and produced by Lupus Films (\u201cKensuke\u2019s Kingdom,\u201d \u201cThe Snowman and The Snowdog\u201d), will once again follow Mog, the Thomas family tabby cat, as she finds herself in big trouble.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe family are hosting a cat show in their garden which should be Mog\u2019s chance to shine, but in all the excitement she does a \u2018bad thing\u2019 which means she hides in the attic feeling sorry for herself and misses the start of the show,\u201d reads the synopsis. \u201cCan Mog find a way to leave her hiding place, make her family proud and save the day?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMog\u2019s Bad Thing\u201d is written by Joanna Harrison based on Kerr\u2019s books, which have been translated into 24 languages and sold over 4 million copies worldwide. There are 17 books in the \u201cMog\u201d series, which was inspired by Kerr\u2019s own family cat.<\/p>\n

\n\tRuth Fielding and Camilla Deakin produce for Lupus Films. The animated special was commissioned for Channel 4 by Gwawr Lloyd, interim head of drama.<\/p>\n
