Thousands of bottles of a blood pressure medication are being recalled nationwide, according to a recent announcement from the Food and Drug Administration. <\/p>\n

According to the latest recall alert, issued on June 5, Inventia Healthcare Limited issued a voluntary recall of certain bottles of Chlorthalidone Tablets. The reason listed for the recall was “failed dissolution specifications.”<\/p>\n

The recall includes: <\/p>\n

Chlorthalidone Tablets, USP, 25 mg, [100 or 1000]<\/p>\n

According to the FDA, more than 11,400 bottles were involved. They were set to expire in April 2027.<\/p>\n

The Mayo Clinic<\/a> reports Chlorthalidone “is used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).” It can also be used to treat fluid retention.<\/p>\n

It marks the latest blood pressure medication recall after another widely-used drug was recalled in October. <\/p>\n
