{"id":513442,"date":"2026-06-23T00:06:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-23T00:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/513442\/"},"modified":"2026-06-23T00:06:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T00:06:09","slug":"two-men-arrested-after-garda-injured-and-patrol-car-rammed-at-cork-industrial-estate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/513442\/","title":{"rendered":"Two men arrested after garda injured and patrol car rammed at Cork industrial estate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">A garda has been injured after a patrol car was rammed by a stolen vehicle in an industrial estate in Glanmire on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Two men have been arrested following the incident and are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the Southern Region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Garda\u00ed confirmed they responded to reports of a stolen car at around 2.20pm in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">When officers arrived at the scene, the occupants of the vehicle rammed a Garda patrol car. A female garda was injured during the incident and was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">No other garda\u00ed were injured during the incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The occupants of the stolen vehicle fled the scene on foot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Following a search of the area, the two adult men were arrested.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Garda\u00ed have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
