Tom Holland and Zendaya are on a world tour promoting the upcoming premiere of\u00a0Spider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The couple has made stops in Madrid, Spain, and Berlin, Germany, ahead of the superhero movie\u2019s July 31 U.S. theater release.<\/p>\n

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film also stars Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, Liza Col\u00f3n-Zayas, and Mark Ruffalo.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker,\u201d reads the logline for the fourth installment of the superhero movie. \u201cFighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn\u2019t remember him\u2014and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him\u2014sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves \u2013 a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn\u2019t forgotten them.\u201d<\/p>\n

On his return to playing the Spider-Man role<\/a>, Holland said in the YouTube series\u00a0Flip Your Wig, \u201cI\u2019m obviously over the moon and so excited. Playing Spider-Man is like hanging out with an old pal. And I think we were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie because of Covid; we shot the entire film on stages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Holland said that for this film, they were going to \u201clean into that old-school filmmaking and shoot in real locations, which is why we\u2019re starting in Glasgow and we\u2019re gonna use the streets of Glasgow to build this massive set-piece that we\u2019re putting together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo it\u2019s gonna feel like making [2017\u2019s] Spider-Man 1 again,\u201d he added. \u201cIt\u2019s been such a long time since I\u2019ve done it, it\u2019s gonna feel like a breath of fresh air, and I think the fans are going to be over the moon with what we\u2019re putting together.\u201d<\/p>\n
