{"id":515350,"date":"2026-06-24T02:07:18","date_gmt":"2026-06-24T02:07:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/515350\/"},"modified":"2026-06-24T02:07:18","modified_gmt":"2026-06-24T02:07:18","slug":"secondhand-house-prices-rise-across-cork-city-and-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/515350\/","title":{"rendered":"Secondhand house prices rise across Cork city and county"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"contextmenu internal_Body1st\">The average price of a secondhand three-bedroom semi-detached house in\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.echolive.ie\/corknews\/arid-41866884.html&lt;br&gt;\">Cork city<\/a> is still increasing, with data showing it has risen by 1.2% to \u20ac420,000 in the last three months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Across Cork county, prices over the past three months have increased by 1.0% to an average of \u20ac272,900, the Q2 REA Average House Price Index shows.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The index concentrates on the actual sale price of Ireland\u2019s typical stock home, the three-bed semi, giving a picture of the secondhand property market in towns and cities countrywide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">According to the survey, the average cost of a three-bed semi in Dublin is now at \u20ac600,120 \u2014 an increase of almost \u20ac150,000 on the June 2021 average price of \u20ac456,667, a 31% rise in five years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The average Galway city house price reached the \u20ac400,000 mark for the first time, following an increase of 0.5% over the past three months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Overall, selling prices in Ireland\u2019s major cities outside Dublin rose by the same percentage as the capital at 0.8%, to an average of \u20ac381,250.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Homes in the large towns across Ireland rose by 1.1% this quarter, down from 2% in the first three months of the year and 7.3% annually to an average of \u20ac281,287.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The biggest quarterly rise was in Ireland\u2019s most affordable county of Donegal, where prices increased by 3.5% to \u20ac222,500 on average.
