{"id":516118,"date":"2026-06-24T13:48:15","date_gmt":"2026-06-24T13:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/516118\/"},"modified":"2026-06-24T13:48:15","modified_gmt":"2026-06-24T13:48:15","slug":"stuart-fails-to-save-the-universe-trailer-big-bang-theory-spinoff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/516118\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Stuart Fails to Save the Universe&#8217; Trailer: &#8216;Big Bang Theory&#8217; Spinoff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHBO Max has released the trailer for \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/stuart-fails-to-save-the-universe\/\" id=\"auto-tag_stuart-fails-to-save-the-universe\" data-tag=\"stuart-fails-to-save-the-universe\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Stuart Fails to Save the Universe<\/a>,\u201d premiering July 23.<\/p>\n<p>The 10-episode show was created as a spin-off to the hit \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/big-bang-theory\/\" id=\"auto-tag_big-bang-theory\" data-tag=\"big-bang-theory\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Big Bang Theory<\/a>,\u201d and episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays.<\/p>\n<p>Per the logline, \u201ccomic bookstore owner Stuart Bloom is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise, geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist\/all-around pain in the ass Barry Kripke. Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we\u2019ve come to know and love from \u2018The Big Bang Theory.\u2019 As the title implies, things don\u2019t go well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The series stars Kevin Sussman as Stuart, Lauren Lapkus as Denise, Brian Posehn as Bert, and John Ross Bowie as Kripke.<\/p>\n<p>The show was originally announced as being <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2023\/tv\/news\/big-bang-theory-spinoff-hbo-max-1235580575\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in development back in April 2023<\/a> and is co-created by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn, and Bill Prady.<\/p>\n<p>The series is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where Lorre is under an overall deal. \u201cStuart Fails to Save the Universe\u201d is written and executive-produced by Lorre, Penn, and Prady. Kyle Newacheck is also executive producer and directed multiple episodes.<\/p>\n<p>The series features original theme music by Emmy and Grammy Award winner, Danny Elfman, best known for his work on various Tim Burton films such as \u201cThe Nightmare Before Christmas\u201d and \u201cCorpse Bride.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStuart Fails to Save the Universe\u201d is the fourth show set in the \u201cBig Bang Theory\u201d universe. Aside from the namesake show, which ran for 12 seasons on CBS, its prequel series \u201cYoung Sheldon\u201d completed a seven-season run in May 2024.
