\n\tAsa Butterfield<\/a>, Jonny Lee Miller<\/a> and Christine Tremarco have joined the cast of drama series \u201cHamburg Days,\u201d about the Beatles<\/a>\u2019 formative years in the German port city.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe six-part show, which was created by showrunner Christian Schwochow (\u201cThe Crown,\u201d \u201cMunich \u2013 The Edge of War\u201d) and head writer Jamie Carragher (\u201cSuccession\u201d), is shooting in Hamburg. It is inspired by German artist Klaus Voormann\u2019s autobiography.<\/p>\n

\n\tButterfield (\u201cSex Education,\u201d \u201cUnchosen\u201d) will play Beatles manager Brian Epstein, while Lee Miller (\u201cTrainspotting,\u201d \u201cThe Crown\u201d) takes the role of Jim McCartney, the father of Paul McCartney. Also joining the series are Tremarco (\u201cAdolescence,\u201d \u201cThe Responder\u201d) as John Lennon\u2019s guardian Aunt Mimi, Darci Shaw (\u201cA Thousand Blows,\u201d \u201cThis City Is Ours\u201d) as Cynthia Lennon, Ryan Sampson (\u201cMr Bigstuff,\u201d \u201cBrassic\u201d) as Liverpool promoter Alan Williams, Archie George as singer Tony Sheridan, Jorden Myrie (\u201cSherwood,\u201d \u201cThe Strays\u201d) as Lord Woodbine, Lea Drinda (\u201cThe Sound of Falling,\u201d \u201cWhere\u2019s Wanda?\u201d) as Astrid Kirchherr, Tash Major (\u201cFinding Emily,\u201d \u201cSaviour\u201d) as Dot Rhone, and Louis McCartney (\u201cStranger Things: The First Shadow\u201d), who will play Ringo Starr.<\/p>\n

\n\tThey join the previously announced cast including Rhys Mannion as John Lennon, Ellis Murphy as Paul McCartney, Harvey Brett as George Harrison, Louis Landau as Stu Sutcliffe, Patrick Gilmore as Pete Best, and Casper von B\u00fclow as Voormann.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHamburg Days\u201d is set in the early 1960s in the smoke-filled clubs of Hamburg\u2019s St. Pauli red-light district, where an inexperienced young rock \u2019n\u2019 roll band from Liverpool collides with two young artists, Voormann and Kirchherr. Together they help spark a transformation that turns a scrappy group of teenagers into the greatest music phenomenon the world has ever known.<\/p>\n

\n\tAGC International is handling worldwide sales outside the U.K., where the BBC has the rights, and Germany, where ZDF will screen the series.<\/p>\n

\n\tW&B Television and Turbine Studios are producing the show, with music curated by David Holmes (\u201cKilling Eve,\u201d \u201cOcean\u2019s\u201d franchise).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHamburg Days\u201d was developed by Benjamin Benedict (\u201cGeneration War\u201d) and is written by Carragher, who also serves as executive producer. Showrunner and executive producer Schwochow is directing alongside Laura Lackmann (\u201cCall My Agent Berlin,\u201d \u201cThe Pimp: No F***ing Fairytale\u201d). Frank Lamm (\u201cAndor,\u201d \u201cThe Crown\u201d) serves as director of photography. Voormann is an exclusive consultant to the series.<\/p>\n

\n\tExecutive producers are Benedict, Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann of W&B Television, Andrew Eaton and Justin Thomson of Turbine Studios, and AGC\u2019s Stuart Ford, Lourdes Diaz and Miguel A. Palos Jr., Isabel Haug and Charles Breitkreuz for W&B Television and Katharina Haase serve as producers. At ZDF, the project is overseen by Alexandra Staib, Caroline von Senden and Sandra Dettki.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHamburg Days\u201d is being produced with the support of the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF), MOIN Filmf\u00f6rderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, FilmFernsehFonds Bayern and Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg.<\/p>\n
