During a recent press event announcing the new Rolling Stones<\/a> album, Mick Jagger recounted the unexpected recruiting he did one day in the studio. \u201cThere\u2019s this bloke standing there with his back to me with this long gown on,\u201d Jagger said<\/a>. \u201cAnd when he turned around, he was covered in lipstick. And I said\u2014I’d never met him before\u2014\u2018You’re Robert Smith of the Cure!\u2019 He said, \u2018Yeah!\u2019 And I said, \u2018Well, while you\u2019re here then, you better go and do something.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

That something is \u201cDivine Intervention,\u201d one of two cuts off the forthcoming Foreign Tongues<\/a> that features the Cure frontman. Well, supposedly features; I\u2019ve listened to it three times now and still can\u2019t hear him, but maybe you\u2019ll have better luck. (Update: A closer inspection of the credits informs me Smith played guitar but did not sing on the track. Mystery solved!) Check it out below. The track arrives with another fresh Tongues song, \u201cJealous Lover,\u201d along with an Amazon exclusive music video<\/a> starring a tussling Anya Taylor-Joy and Charles Melton.<\/p>\n
