Coronation Street<\/a> star Ryan Mulvey has landed a major new role away from the soap, with the actor set to bring some “festive magic” as he takes on a part from a classic fairy tale story. <\/p>\n

The star, who plays Brody Michaelis on the ITV soap<\/a>, will appear in the upcoming pantomime production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which will premiere at Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre in December. <\/p>\n

As teased by the theatre’s social media channels<\/a>, the production will be “packed with laugh-out-loud comedy, dazzling costumes, stunning special effects and plenty of festive magic”, with the show being branded “spectacular”.<\/p>\n

“When the Magic Mirror declares Snow White the fairest of them all, the Wicked Queen’s jealousy erupts into a wicked plan,” reads the logline. “Determined to reclaim her title, she orders the young Princess’ demise.<\/p>\n

“Snow White escapes into the deep, dark forest, stumbling upon a mysterious cottage home to seven unforgettable characters. But the Queen won’t give up that easily. With a poisoned apple and revenge in her sights, she’ll stop at nothing to destroy Snow White once and for all.”<\/p>\n

“Meanwhile, Prince Fredrick is on a quest to find his true love \u2014 and with the help of Epstein favourites Muddles and Nurse Nelly, expect chaos, comedy, and plenty of festive fun along the way!” it concludes.<\/p>\n

Mulvey, who previously played JJ Osborne on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks<\/a>, was greeted by Corrie co-star Junade Khan in the comment section, with the Idris Nazir actor writing: “You’ll smash [it] bro.”<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in Weatherfield, it’s been a difficult time for Maria Connor and Gary Windass, who have been having marital problems. Maria suspects that her husband has been having an affair with Sarah Platt, while Gary has faced pressure from Kit Green.

It turns out that Gary and Sarah have grown closer due to their involvement in the death of Theo Silverton, with Sarah being responsible<\/a>. Gary has agreed to keep the secret, but it’s taking a toll in several areas of his life. <\/p>\n

“I guess that was the start of so many twists and turns you are going to see over the [coming] weeks and months,” teased Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria<\/a>. “You are going to see quite a bumpy ride for Gary and Maria.”<\/p>\n
