Following the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/02\/off-campus-renewed-season-2-season-1-release-date-1236717125\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">early renewal for Off Campus,<\/a> which kicked off the streamer\u2019s summer lineup of YA series and movies, the second entry in the lineup, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/every-year-after\/\" id=\"auto-tag_every-year-after\" data-tag=\"every-year-after\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Every Year After<\/a>, will likely follow suit soon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDuring an executive panel to kick off this weekend\u2019s Obsessed Fest, Peter Friedlander, Head of TV, Amazon MGM Studios, hinted at the pending pickup when speaking about Every Year After\u2019s strong launch on Prime Video as No.1 on the heels of the record premiere of Off Campus, which has now become the most watched freshman season ever on the platform in women 18-34. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cOne success begets another,\u201d he said about the halo effect of Off Campus on Every Year After. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHe then added about Every Year After, which <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/06\/every-year-after-charlie-cliffhanger-ending-explained-1236952307\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ended its first season on a major cliffhanger<\/a>, \u201cI hope to have news on that soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tLike most of Prime Video\u2019s YA hits, including Off Campus, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Maxton Hall and the Culpables movies, Every Year After is based on a book, Every Summer After by Carley Fortune.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Season 1 finale <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/06\/every-year-after-charlie-cliffhanger-ending-explained-1236952307\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">teased a key element from Fortune\u2019s sequel book<\/a>, One Golden Summer, which is expected to be source material for the likely second season. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Obsession is in session at Prime Video this summer \u2014 and so are the renewals.
