Madonna<\/a> has heavily hinted that she could finally perform at Glastonbury<\/a> in 2027.<\/p>\n

The pop legend is gearing up to release her 15th studio record on July 3<\/a> \u2013 the spiritual follow-up to 2005\u2019s \u2018Confessions On A Dance Floor\u2019, and on Friday (June 26), she made an appearance on The Graham Norton Show to discuss the album.<\/p>\n

Touching on her plans for touring in support of it, Madonna seemed to suggest 2027 could finally be the year she headlines the Worthy Farm festival. She was widely rumoured to be performing on the Pyramid Stage back in 2024<\/a>, but negotiations reportedly fell apart.<\/p>\n

Last night, however, Glastonbury appeared to be back on the table. \u201cI think I\u2019ll do promo tours for a while, then in the summertime, something bigger,\u201d she told Norton.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, that sounds really exciting and good,\u201d Norton replied. \u201cI think I know what you\u2019re talking about.\u201d After sharing a knowing look, he pressed: \u201cIs it in this country?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt could be,\u201d she replied. \u201cWhy do I have to tell you everything?\u201d<\/p>\n

The teaser comes after she spent time with Charli XCX<\/a> \u2013 last year\u2019s Other Stage headliner \u2013 in Paris recently.<\/p>\n

Their time together followed a stir after Charli\u2019s recent single \u2018Rock Music<\/a>\u2019, taken from her upcoming album \u2018Music, Fashion, Film<\/a>\u2019, declared: \u201cI think the dancefloor is dead, so now we\u2019re making rock music\u201d.<\/p>\n

Madonna, who spoke to Norton about the spiritual necessity of being on the dancefloor \u2013 saying dancing was in \u201cin my DNA\u201d and \u201ccreates community\u201d \u2013\u00a0 appeared to respond to the line on Instagram, writing<\/a>: \u201cIf your Dance floor feels dead, maybe you\u2019re playing the wrong music.\u201d<\/p>\n

However,\u00a0the pair were spotted together at Fashion Week<\/a>, bringing an end to speculation of tension between the two pop stars, with Charli later saying it was \u201cvery inspiring to hang out with her\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She also admitted that while she was not necessarily a Madonna fan when she was younger, she came to appreciate her work more deeply as she grew older.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think when I became like a bit more interested in how music is art and artful \u2013 I think that\u2019s when I began my Madonna time,\u201d she said. \u201cMy first big song that I fell in love with of hers was \u2018Hollywood\u2019. That song really hit me in a way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Madonna\u2019s upcoming \u2018Confessions II\u2019 is Madonna\u2019s first record since 2019\u2019s \u2018Madame X<\/a>\u2019, and it sees her reunite with \u2018Confessions\u2019 producer\u00a0Stuart Price<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To celebrate its release, Madonna has surprised fans in New York City\u00a0<\/a>by playing an impromptu set at Times Square, and also\u00a0shared a star-studded short film accompaniment to the record<\/a>\u00a0starring\u00a0Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>,\u00a0Benedict Cumberbatch<\/a>, Kate Moss, Julia Garner,\u00a0Shygirl<\/a>, Richard E. Grant,\u00a0Honey Dijon<\/a>\u00a0and more.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Vogue\u2019 singer has also been confirmed as\u00a0one of the co-headliners for the first-ever FIFA World Cup halftime show<\/a>\u00a0alongside\u00a0Shakira<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0BTS<\/a>, and has\u00a0implored fans to \u201cput your fucking phones down and connect\u201d<\/a>\u00a0when at gigs.<\/p>\n

Madonna will be holding\u00a0an intimate London listening party for \u2018Confessions II\u2019<\/a>\u00a0at the start of July, and will also be\u00a0starring in an episode of\u00a0The Studio, with the episode being centred around her long-delayed biopic<\/a> \u2013 which she recently revealed was scrapped due to budget issues<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead to Glastonbury 2027,\u00a0bookmakers are already taking bets on who could headline<\/a>. Rumours include\u00a0Sam Fender<\/a>,\u00a0Ed Sheeran<\/a>,\u00a0Rihanna<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Little Simz<\/a>.<\/p>\n
