The former presenter has also drawn up plans for a documentary<\/a> about his downfall which would claim that mental illness played a crucial role in his behaviour.<\/p>\n

But Edwards\u2019 reentry to public life has attracted criticism, and Barry Tomes, his former publisher, told LBC<\/a>: \u201cI just think he\u2019s not got a good moral compass here.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe should go away and do none of this at all. I said to him that people actually don\u2019t care.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got to understand, they don\u2019t care what your opinion is any more. You pleaded guilty; you now have that on your record. You should think about how you want to re-emerge, but not re-emerge with your old job or your old thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cSome people will listen to him. Gary Glitter<\/a> still has videos being posted on the internet. But I think the general consensus of opinion is that, \u2018You\u2019re vile, and we don\u2019t really care what you\u2019ve got to say\u2019.
