Paris Saint-Germain are in talks with RB Leipzig over a move for Liverpool target Yan Diomande.<\/p>\n
Sky Sports News understands the 19-year-old winger has indicated a preference to join the European and French champions.<\/p>\n
Liverpool had been willing to pay \u00a386m, but Leipzig want significantly more for the Ivory Coast international.<\/p>\n
The Premier League side have been reluctant to go any higher than that, which appears to give PSG a clear run at the winger.<\/p>\n
The French club have a contract agreed with Diomande until 2031, but club-to-club negotiations between PSG and Leipzig are ongoing.<\/p>\n
Irrespective of the player’s preference, a deal must be struck with Leipzig for the transfer to proceed.<\/p>\n
Manchester City have also been monitoring the situation.<\/p>\n
Liverpool had turned their attention to Diomande after landing Osasuna winger Victor Munoz for \u00a334.5m.<\/p>\n
In a surprise move, the Reds swooped in after Newcastle had a deal agreed for the Spain international, who predominantly plays on the left but can also be used on the right and through the middle.<\/p>\n
Under new boss Andoni Iraola, Liverpool want multiple attacking signings to replace the departing Mo Salah.<\/p>\n
But it now appears they will be forced to look elsewhere rather than at Diomande.<\/p>\n
