Louth would then book their first semi-final berth since 1957 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.balls.ie\/gaa\/tomas-o-se-louth-monaghan-gaa-myth-658488\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">with a win over Monaghan<\/a> on Sunday, before Dublin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.balls.ie\/football\/controversial-gaa-rule-dublin-galway-win-658501\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">produced a big performance to beat Galway<\/a> soon after.<\/p>\n<p>The draw for the semi-final has now been confirmed, with the fixtures <a href=\"https:\/\/www.balls.ie\/gaa\/gaa-all-ireland-semi-final-draw-permutations-658476\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">following some rules previously set out by the GAA<\/a> for that stage of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>GAA: Draw for All-Ireland semi-finals confirmed\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The GAA wanted to avoid repeat pairings from earlier in this year&#8217;s championship during the semi-finals stage.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Louth and Dublin could not be paired due to having already played each other in this season&#8217;s competition. Kerry won the competition last year, while Dublin did so in 2023.
