\n\t\u201cWatch It Burn,\u201d Katy Perry<\/a>\u2018s latest single, tops this week\u2019s new music poll<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tListeners voted in a poll published Friday (June 26)\u00a0on\u00a0Billboard<\/a>, choosing the pop star\u2019s just-released song as their favorite new music.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWatch It Burn\u201d soared ahead new releases from artists including TEEKS, sombr, Gracie Abrams and Phoebe Bridgers. At the poll\u2019s closing time on Sunday, fans took Perry to the top with 27% of the vote.<\/p>\n

\n\tPerry lets loose her rage in \u201cWatch It Burn,\u201d which has her declaring in verse one, \u201cFor years,\u2005I tried to rise above\/ Was only\u2005light and love\/ But now I\u2019m, \u2018Shut the f\u2014 up.’\u201d The track was accompanied by a fiery new music video directed by Christian Breslauer.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou know I gave and I gave\/ Now I\u2019m giving up\/ There\u2019s nothing more you can take\/ No, I don\u2019t want to cause a scene\/ But give me the gasoline\/ Tonight\u2019s the night, I light a match\/ Throw it hard behind my back\/ Gonna try to forgive and forget\/ Light a cigarette, and watch it burn\/ With the past, I\u2019ma breathe in the ash\/ Gonna try to forgive and forget\/ Light a cigarette, and watch it burn,\u201d Perry sings in the chorus.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWatch It Burn\u201d is Perry\u2019s follow-up to \u201cBandaids,\u201d which dropped in November. She last released a full-length studio album in 2024, 143, which was a top 10 hit on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n

\n\tTrailing just behind Perry\u2019s single are TEEKS\u2019 \u201cMy Boy,\u201d coming in with 18% of the vote, and sombr\u2019s \u201cMy Body Isn\u2019t Ready,\u201d with 16% of the vote.<\/p>\n
