Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly on a European getaway with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as their family trip to the UK remains up in the air<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The family of four is currently vacationing in Europe, though it is unclear where, People reported<\/a> Sunday.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, we heard that Harry, 41, and Markle, 44, were planning to bring their kids to the United Kingdom<\/a> in July for the first time since 2022.<\/p>\n

Page Six reported earlier that Harry had hoped to bring his wife and their children back to England<\/a> while he promotes his Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham next year. We were told Harry desperately wants to bring his family over to see his father, King Charles.<\/p>\n

However, the trip might reportedly be scrapped<\/a> due to the couple being denied taxpayer-funded security for their trip.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir plans to see family, friends and visit various charitable causes close to the duke\u2019s heart have been pulled out from under their feet at the 11th hour,\u201d a source\u00a0told the Guardian\u00a0on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Per the insider, the Duke of Sussex is still \u201clooking at every option to try and get\u201d Markle, along with Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, to England \u201csafely and keep them safe when they\u2019re on the ground.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sources told Page Six earlier that Harry is expected to bring his own security team for the trip, as the couple was preparing for a \u201chuge spectacle.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

One insider said the\u00a0family won\u2019t fly by private jet, but they will have their own bodyguards, adding, \u201cHarry always travels with one of two of his own security team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry \u2014 who pays about\u00a0$3 million a year for private security\u00a0<\/a>in the US \u2014 has yet to be afforded VIP security after battling the British Home Office for 24\/7 armed police escorts, and is in a \u201cholding pattern,\u201d we were told.<\/p>\n

But Charles has reportedly extended an olive branch to Harry,\u00a0offering him a royal residence\u00a0<\/a>with private security for his stay with his wife and kids.<\/p>\n
