Radio presenter Pamela Joyce has shown brides that you don’t need to head to Las Vegas or Ibiza to have a memorable hen.

The former Today FM broadcaster announced her engagement last August when her partner, Gavin Moran, popped the question at Ballynahinch Castle in Connemara.

While the couple have been keeping their plans under wraps, Pamela and her girls couldn’t help but share her fun-filled hen on their social media over the weekend.

Pamela, who was loved by many listeners around the country, shocked listeners when she hung up her radio mic in 2023.

In an interview with the Sunday Times, she explained that she moved to Dublin solely to work in radio, and she added: ‘I didn’t realise I was as much of a homebird as I am.’

And this shows with the location chosen for her hen do- there was no need for passports or Ryanair tickets for this gang.

Packing their bags, the girls were ready for an all-girls weekend, heading down to Athlone to celebrate Pamela’s last few months as a ‘free woman.’

And there were a few familiar faces among the mix, including former Today FM presenter Mairead Ronan and former Today FM newsreader, Kim Buckley.

Dressed to impress, Pamela wore a two-piece bridal piece with a strapless, satin bodice. The bottom layer was made of mesh, with intricate design and embellishments throughout.

And judging from the photos posted, the outfit looked like the perfect stylish and comfy piece to wear!

With some sore heads from the weekend of dancing, it’s now time to concentrate on the big day.
