A former Hollyoaks<\/a> star has reacted to missing out on a Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> place in this new season after she ‘manifested’ her participation in a series of social media posts. Sarah Jayne Dunn, known for the role of Mandy Richardson on the Channel 4 soap, has taken to Instagram to share her disappointment after it was revealed she wasn’t partaking in the BBC’s celebrity dancing competition.<\/p>\n

Dunn got candid about not landing the Strictly gig despite being among the favourites to join this year’s line-up.<\/a><\/p>\n

‘Well, this chapter didn\u2019t end the way I’d hoped,” she wrote in an Instagram<\/a> post, admitting to being “disappointed”.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“I wanted this more than I can put into words,” she added. “But if this journey has taught me anything, it’s that saying your dreams out loud isn’t something to be embarrassed about.<\/p>\n

“It’s brave. It’s vulnerable. And whether you get the outcome you’re hoping for or not, there\u2019s something really powerful about backing yourself.”<\/p>\n

Dunn also thanked her followers for their support, writing: “This journey has already given me more than I ever expected.”<\/p>\n

“So no, I won’t be stepping onto the dancefloor this year. But I also won’t be quietly talking myself out of the possibility that one day I will,” she added.<\/p>\n

“Dreams don’t always arrive on our timeline. That doesn’t mean they’re over,” she also wrote, before concluding with a positive message. <\/p>\n

“Manifesting continues\u2026 just with a different date.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, another former soap star has been announced as a Strictly celebrity for the upcoming season. Ex-Neighbours star, singer and actor, Delta Goodrem<\/a> has been confirmed as part of Strictly season 24, alongside EastEnders<\/a>‘ Lacey Turner, Love Island star Dani Dyer and celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Strictly Come Dancing will return to the BBC later this year.<\/p>\n
