Prosecutors<\/a> wants Pooh Shiesty<\/a> to remain in custody ahead of his trial<\/a>, and they\u2019re citing alleged admissions of drug and alcohol use, plus what they claim was an \u201cinappropriate relationship\u201d with a case supervisor, in support of their argument.<\/p>\n

In court docs filed June 24 and viewed by Complex, prosecutors point out that Shiesty, born Lontrell Williams Jr., was living in a North Texas apartment and bound by a previous sentence under which he was ordered to home detention when he allegedly took part in an armed kidnapping and robbery earlier this year.<\/p>\n

As part of the terms of this previous, unrelated sentence, Shiesty was required to refrain from consuming alcohol or using controlled substances, among other restrictions.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliams Jr. routinely failed to abide by these conditions throughout the course of his home confinement, assisted in skirting these requirements through the help of collusive VOA employees,\u201d reads the government\u2019s response to Shiesty\u2019s latest effort to secure his release. \u201cInvestigators have now learned that Williams Jr. was involved in an inappropriate relationship with at least one of his VOA case supervisors, and that this VOA employee was actively involved in entering fake day passes that would allow Williams Jr. to travel to unapproved locations while he was supposed to be confined to his residence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prosecutors continued: \u201cThis misconduct extended to the day of the kidnapping itself on January 10, 2026. On that day, the employee entered three day-passes, allowing Williams Jr. to travel, and contacted him nineteen times over the course of the day. VOA later terminated the employee for this conduct.\u201d<\/p>\n

For those unfamiliar, \u201cVOA,\u201d in this instance, is an acronym for Volunteers of America, a nonprofit and Bureau of Prisons contractor. All told, per prosecutors, Shiesty was formally written up for violating the terms of his home detention at least four times, including as recently as March of this year.<\/p>\n

Also included in the June 24-dated filing are screenshots of alleged text conversations involving Shiesty.<\/p>\n

\u201cHigh and drunk,\u201d reads one alleged text from Shiesty when asked what he was doing at the time, circa October 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m drunk asf,\u201d reads another from November.<\/p>\n

Complex has reached out to a legal rep for Shiesty for comment. This story may be updated. <\/p>\n

In April, Shiesty was among nine people confirmed to have been federally charged<\/a> in connection with an alleged kidnapping and robbery at a studio in the Dallas area. The incident, described as a \u201ccoordinated armed takeover\u201d by authorities, took place in January. At one point, Shiesty is alleged to have brandished an AK-style pistol while forcing the signing of paperwork releasing him from a recording contract.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, though a criminal complaint obtained by Complex shortly after news of Shiesty\u2019s arrest went public did not directly name him, it was quickly clarified<\/a> that the target of this alleged \u201carmed takeover\u201d was believed to be none other than Gucci Mane<\/a>. Indeed, an individual named only as \u201cR.D.\u201d is mentioned throughout the complaint. Gucci Mane\u2019s real name, of course, is Radric Davis.<\/p>\n

At one point, as detailed<\/a> in the complaint, Shiesty pulled \u201ca black AK-style pistol\u201d from a bag and \u201cpointed it at R.D.\u201d Simultaneously, he allegedly continued to make demands for \u201cR.D.,\u201d presumably Gucci Mane, to sign the paperwork. He eventually complied, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n
