\n\tBlue Finch Films<\/a> has acquired worldwide sales rights to \u201cAffection<\/a>,\u201d a sci-fi horror feature starring Jessica Rothe<\/a> and marking the directorial debut of BT Meza.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film follows Ellie Carter, who has never met the man who calls himself her husband, doesn\u2019t recognize the girl who calls her mother, and can\u2019t remember the life she is told is her own. Afflicted by violent seizures that reset her memory without warning, she is trapped in a cyclical nightmare, struggling to uncover the horrifying truth of her existence before she forgets it all over again.<\/p>\n

\n\tRothe, known for her starring role in \u201cHappy Death Day,\u201d leads the cast alongside Joseph Cross (\u201cLincoln\u201d) and Julianna Layne (\u201cScrap\u201d). The film is written and directed by Meza, who also produces alongside Bay Dariz, Austin Walk and JP Ouellette under the Superconductive banner. Christian Henderson and Christy Walker serve as executive producers.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis story comes from a deeply personal place, drawn from my emotions, memories, and fears, and I wanted to use sci-fi horror as the lens to explore them,\u201d said Meza. \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to be partnering with Blue Finch Films, whose passion for bold and distinctive genre cinema makes them the perfect home for this project.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMike Chapman of Blue Finch Films added: \u201cWe are really impressed by BT\u2019s debut, a smart and cathartic genre cocktail which will no doubt please genre fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film will screen at several fall festivals, including as the opening night selection at ScreamFest<\/a> and as part of Brooklyn Horror Fest. Blue Finch Films will begin international sales on the title at the American Film Market<\/a> next month.<\/p>\n
