{"id":525878,"date":"2026-06-30T13:44:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T13:44:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/525878\/"},"modified":"2026-06-30T13:44:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T13:44:11","slug":"caroline-flacks-brother-found-dead-at-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/525878\/","title":{"rendered":"Caroline Flack&#8217;s brother found dead at home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The brother of Love Island host Caroline Flack has tragically died, six years after the star took her own life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to reports, Paul Flack, 55, was found unresponsive at his Sandringham Road home in Norwich on June 21 before later dying at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An inquest into his death was opened at Norfolk Coroner\u2019s Court on Monday (June 29) where area coroner Yvonne Blake said further enquiries would be required before the circumstances surrounding his death can be fully established.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/GettyImages-121283924.jpg\" alt=\"Caroline Flack attends the press launch of The X Factor at 02 Arena. Pic: WireImage<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But a provisional post-mortem has given the cause of death as <a href=\"https:\/\/extra.ie\/2025\/12\/28\/news\/real-life\/dublin-airport-cardiac-arrest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">cardiac arrest<\/a> due to hanging.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The brief hearing was adjourned to October 23 while evidence continues to be gathered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul, an artist and graphic designer, leaves behind his partner and two children. Pic: Getty Images<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His tragic death comes six years after 40-year-old <a href=\"https:\/\/evoke.ie\/2020\/08\/05\/entertainment\/inquest-hears-how-caroline-flacks-loved-ones-tried-desperately-to-save-her-life\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Caroline<\/a> took her own life on February 15, 2020.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On December 12, 2019, police were called to Caroline&#8217;s Islington flat after an incident with her tennis player boyfriend Lewis Burton. Later that month she stood down from hosting Love Island.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following Caroline\u2019s death, the Flack family spoke publicly about the devastating impact of losing her and became determined to challenge what they believed were the circumstances surrounding her final months.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/caroline.jpg\" alt=\"Caroline Flack with her mother Christine. Pic: Twitter<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul appeared alongside his mother and sister in the 2021 documentary\u00a0Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death, which explored the presenter\u2019s life, mental health struggles and the events leading up to her death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul&#8217;s final Instagram post remains a tribute to his sister, who died in 2020.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sharing a picture of them together, he wrote: &#8216;This will be my last post here. May those who know feel shame for eternity.
