\n\tNetflix<\/a> has renewed the crime drama \u201cNemesis<\/a>\u201d for Season 2, Variety has learned. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe series originally debuted on the streamer in May. It spent five weeks in the Netflix global top 10 English language TV charts, reaching the number one spot in its second week of availability. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSeason two, we\u2019re very grateful to have it\u2026 We\u2019re going to make sure those questions get answered \u2014 and even more questions are available for you to answer,\u201d said series co-creator and executive producer Tani Marole. \u201cMake no mistakes, season two is going to be bigger and better.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNemesis\u201d stars Matthew Law, Y\u2019lan Noel, Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, Ariana Guerra, Gabrielle Dennis, Michael Potts, Sophina Brown, Cedric Joe, and Jeff Pierre. Guest stars in Season 1 included Moe Irvin, Quincy Isaiah, Jay Reeves, Mike O\u2019Malley, Stephanie Sigman, Khalilah Joi, Shane Johnson, Siua Ikale\u2019o, Dawnn Lewis, Mark Feuerstein, Chris Bauer<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel blessed to get a season two,\u201d said showrunner, creator, and executive producer Courtney A. Kemp. \u201cWe thank the fans\u2026it\u2019s because of them \u2014 there\u2019s no other reason. It\u2019s them showing up, them talking about it and their huge social media response,\u201d said series We are grateful to Netflix for recognizing the power of our audience and bringing us back for the fans.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThe official logline for the series states: <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u2018Nemesis\u2019 is the story of two men on either side of the law, the tale of what happens when an unstoppable force (an expert criminal (Noel)) meets an immovable object (a brilliant police detective (Law)). What starts as a crime series amped with thrilling life-or-death stakes and explosive action drives deeper to explore family, marriage, and personal identity\u2014 that which drives us, sustains us, and ultimately destroys us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs mentioned, both Kemp and Marole are executive producers on the series, with Kemp executive producing under her End of Episode banner. Chris Selak of End of Episode also executive produces, as does Philipp Barnett. Mario Van Peebles directed and executive produced the first two episodes. Millicent Shelton, Rob Hardy, and Ruben Garcia directed two episodes each in Season 1. <\/p>\n
