Emmerdale’s Chas Dingle will have her attention split when she is drawn into some family drama, amid Liam Cavanagh’s recent health scare<\/a>. But will she prioritise her own relationship over Charity’s baby troubles?<\/p>\n

In next week’s episodes, Charity discovers that Ross Barton is the biological father of her unborn baby<\/a> \u2013 a baby that she is supposedly carrying for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden. <\/p>\n

Feeling guilty, Charity shares the full truth with her cousin Chas<\/a>, but doesn’t receive the reassurance she’s expecting. Instead, Chas urges her to come clean about the messy situation, leaving Charity with a big decision.<\/p>\n

The doctor was recently revealed he was experiencing bladder issues and reluctantly sought medical attention after some encouragement from Claudette Anderson<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Knowing Liam was anxious about the results, Chas fears she has neglected him in his time of need. Will she be able to make things right in her relationship while also supporting Charity through her struggles? And will Liam receive good or bad news?<\/p>\n

Appearing on Lorraine<\/a>, Jonny McPherson (who plays Liam) explained his character’s initial reluctance to share his health issues with Chas. <\/p>\n

“I think, predominantly, the main reason for him not saying anything is because of Chas. So, she’s recently gone through a breast cancer storyline. Obviously the Dingles \u2013 there’s a genetic cancer issue that runs through the family,” the actor said.<\/p>\n

“So, I think in his head he feels like he just wants to absolutely ensure that if he does suggest that any of these symptoms could be cancer, he needs to be absolutely certain. Otherwise he could just be causing undue distress.” <\/p>\n

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX<\/a>.<\/p>\n
