Shane O’Donnell has confirmed he will retire from inter-county hurling at the end of Clare’s involvement in this year’s championship.<\/p>\n
O’Donnell had previously hinted he would finish up last season, but after an injury-hit campaign in 2025, he indicated his intention to go for another season last autumn.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Now O’Donnell has confirmed this truly was the last dance. Speaking at a GAA\/GPA event to promote new nutrition partner Cr\u00f3ga Nutrition, O’Donnell told the Clare Champion that he has maximum two games left with the Banner.<\/p>\n
“It’s my last two games for Clare and I just want to finish on a high. Limerick in an All-Ireland semi-final with a chance to then play for the Liam MacCarthy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“This is what it’s about, this is what it’s always been about. Croke Park on the big day and I honestly can’t wait.”<\/p>\n
