The Princess of Wales debuted the jewels on her outing to church on Easter Sunday in 2023 when they proved the perfect finishing touch to a cobalt blue Catherine Walker coat dress and Lock & Co hat. Their second appearance came in 2025 when Catherine wore the earrings with an Alexander McQueen trouser suit for the opening of the V&A Storehouse in London.<\/p>\n
The set feature an unusual hinged design that separates the two stones, which each hold their own symbolic meaning. Lapis, the rich, royal blue stone, is said to represent wisdom and truth, while the creamy-white moonstone is a talisman for emotional balance and inner growth. The earrings also perfectly coordinate with the Princess’ sparkling sapphire blue engagement ring, which caught the light as she took her seat for the tennis.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales was not the only royal in the stands at SW19. Long-time tennis fan the Duchess of Gloucester, who celebrated her 80th birthday two weeks ago, graced the royal box just days after her daughter, Lady Rose Gilmnan, was spotted in the stands. Perhaps most poignant was the visit by the Duke of Kent earlier this week. The 90-year-old cousin of Queen Elizabeth II is a former president of the The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and was a regular fixture at the tournament alongside his wife, the Duchess of Kent. It marks his first Wimbledon since the Duchess’ death in September 2025.<\/p>\n
It has been a busy month for the Princess of Wales. June was marked by a number of high-profile official events (Trooping the Colour, Garter Day, Royal Ascot) as well as important personal events (the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling).<\/p>\n
Arguably her most significant (but also lowest profile) outing came at the end of the month.
