{"id":532429,"date":"2026-07-04T08:41:16","date_gmt":"2026-07-04T08:41:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/532429\/"},"modified":"2026-07-04T08:41:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-04T08:41:16","slug":"man-40s-arrested-after-gardai-led-on-pursuit-across-donegal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/532429\/","title":{"rendered":"Man (40s) arrested after garda\u00ed led on pursuit across Donegal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man has been arrested after leading garda\u00ed on a dangerous driving spree across Donegal.<\/p>\n<p>The man, who is in his 40s, was spotted acting suspiciously in the Donegal Town area on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The black Mazda car then took off from the Upper Main Street area of the town before heading out into the countryside around 6.20pm.<\/p>\n<p>The speeding car took off across several areas while being pursued by garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>The car traveled Lough Eske Road, Gortloskey, Drumeenagh, Spierstown, the main N15\/Ballybofey Road, Finnabanes, Mullanalamphry, Leghowney, Moyne and Bridgetown.<\/p>\n<p>The suspected driver of the car was later arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed are now appealing for witnesses and seeking dash-cam footage from anyone who may have been travelling in any of those areas between 6.20pm and 7pm.<\/p>\n<p>A garda spokesperson said: &#8220;We appeal to anyone who may have travelled in any of those areas with a dash-cam between 6.20pm and 7pm yesterday evening to make the footage available to investigating garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If anyone witnessed any of these incidents, we ask them to contact Garda\u00ed in Donegal Town on 074 9740190 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man has been arrested after leading garda\u00ed on a dangerous driving spree across Donegal.
