With all the heightened emotions and mad moves in the Love Island villa, we’re surprised there aren’t more tears on our screens each night.<\/p>\n

That considered, we were left with an uneasy taste in our mouths when a handful of people started judging Charleen Murphy for bursting into tears<\/a> in the aftermath of the Casa Amor recoupling.<\/p>\n

As Charleen was brought back to the main villa by Kavan, who was coupled up with Jasmine but on a break when Casa started, she was very much in the limelight and the subject of the OG girls’ attention.<\/p>\n

The OG girls didn’t say anything directly mean to Charleen, although Mica referring to her as ‘that girl’ did come across a little shady to us (we will give her the benefit of the doubt as emotions were running high).<\/p>\n

However, the fact that nothing (minus Yasmin’s quick hello) was said to the new bombshell girls after they arrived in the main villa is, if you ask us, pretty frosty and not exactly a friendly welcome.<\/p>\n

As the original girls called a group meeting to trash talk Kavan and Simba<\/a>, the Casa girls huddled together in another area, and Charleen was seen wiping away tears.<\/p>\n

Several people on X said they were baffled as to why Charleen was crying, saying it was an overreaction and very dramatic.<\/p>\n

‘Charleen expecting everyone to be so excited and happy for her to be there. Omg, ofc the girls are going to be upset if they\u2019re feeling blindsided,’ added someone on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Someone else wrote: ‘The OG girls haven\u2019t even said anything bad to them; were the Casa girls really expecting a huge welcoming committee on the very night they arrive with their men?’<\/p>\n

And yes, we get it. Of course the girls are going to be upset about what has happened, especially when it didn’t go the way they were hoping, but at the same time, what happened to being nice to one another?<\/p>\n

Standing up for Charleen<\/a> and pointing out that the villa must have been a very tense place after recoupling, one person said: \u2018I don\u2019t know how grown women are commenting nasty stuff on this about a girl having emotions\u2026 Says a lot about yous!\u2019<\/p>\n

Influencer Niamh O\u2019Connor added: \u2018These comments are rotten!!! Imagine walking into that environment, it would be so overwhelming for anybody and especially someone with such a kind soul!!!’<\/p>\n

Charleen\u2019s friend and fellow influencer Ellie Kelly also commented on Love Island\u2019s video, saying: ‘Our gorgeous angel, you\u2019re doing amazing, Char.’<\/p>\n

And someone else wrote: \u2018You would think in this day and age people wouldn\u2019t spread hate over someone getting emotional and crying in an extremely intense situation.<\/p>\n

\u2018She has done nothing wrong and doesn\u2019t deserve one bad word said about her. But really says more about the people who are commenting than it ever will about Charleen! <\/p>\n

Friday’s Love Island is set to see the girls clear the air, with a teaser showing Charleen and Jasmine chatting about what happened in Casa. Here’s hoping there are no more tears!<\/p>\n
