\n\tAdam Sandler<\/a> officiated Taylor Swift<\/a> and Travis Kelce<\/a>\u2018s wedding at Madison Square Garden<\/a> on last night, helping the happy couple to tie the knot. Many fans expressed surprise that the Happy Gilmore actor was selected to lead the festivities, but the couple actually does have a history with Sandler. <\/p>\n

\n\tKelce notably appeared in Happy Gilmore 2<\/a> last year as a waiter. Later in the film, he made a shirtless cameo alongside Bad Bunny and a bear. \u201cTravis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell,\u201d Sandler told Entertainment Tonight<\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s like the guys I grew up with. When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school and just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSandler added of Swift, \u201cTaylor is incredible. Taylor is so damn nice to my family and has always been. My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she\u2019s ridiculously nice to them and warm.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKelce shared on podcast Bussin\u2019 With the Boys<\/a> that working with Sandler was \u201cthe fucking best.\u201d He explained, \u201cHe was even further than what you could have ever expected. And he was so helpful in terms of making me feel comfortable in scene.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tOn the same podcast, Kelce said he ended up in the film after suggesting he wanted to be part of the sequel. \u201cI threw it out there that I would kill to be in a Sandler movie or anything like that, and I had a\u00a0Happy Gilmore\u00a0hat on on [my podcast]\u00a0New Heights\u00a0one time,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd they were like, \u2018Oh, man, there\u2019s rumors that\u00a0Happy Gilmore 2\u00a0might be coming out, are you gonna be in it?\u2019 I\u2019m just like, \u2018I\u2019d quit everything right now to be in a fucking Adam Sandler movie, or be in\u00a0Happy Gilmore 2.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough there was chat that Swift herself could have made a cameo, Sandler confirmed that was never in the works. \u201cWe didn\u2019t want to bother Taylor,\u201d Sandler told Extra<\/a>. \u201cWe just let Taylor entertain the world as she does. I listened to \u2018All Too Well\u2019 three times in a row today with my kid. She\u2019s done a lot for our planet, so we love her.\u201d<\/p>\n

The following year, Sandler admitted on Conan O\u2019Brien\u2019s podcast<\/a>\u00a0that he \u201ccan get a little jumpy\u201d around the singer. \u201cJust cause I don\u2019t wanna blow it for my kids,\u201d he said. \u201cSo I\u2019m a little like, \u2018Taylor, Taylor,\u2019 like I talk a little too loud or something. I don\u2019t stay as cool as I can.\u201d<\/p>\n
