The venue announced the news at 7:30 p.m. ET with a jumbotron outside the arena that displayed the text, \u201cJUST&T MARRIED!\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor\u2019s publicist, Tree Paine, also confirmed the news with a press release, revealing that she and Travis both wore looks by Christian Dior Haute Couture that were designed by Jonathan Anderson. The release also revealed that their wedding was officiated by Adam Sandler and that neither the bride nor the groom had bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Taylor\u2019s man of honor was her brother, Austin, while Travis\u2019 best man was his brother, Jason.<\/p>\n

Rob Shuter confirmed in his \u201cNaughty But Nice<\/a>\u201d Substack on June 20 that Taylor and Travis signed a prenup<\/a> before their wedding that was overseen by Taylor\u2019s father, Scott Swift, who previously worked as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch. \u201cScott is the definition of a great father,\u201d the insider said. \u201cHe\u2019s spent his entire adult life protecting Taylor while giving her the freedom to become the biggest star in the world. He\u2019s always there, but never in the spotlight.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source continued, \u201cHe\u2019s a fist in a velvet glove. Polite, charming, and incredibly warm\u2014but when it comes to protecting his daughter and her business interests, nobody is sharper.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor\u2019s net worth is $2 billion, according to Forbes, while Travis\u2019 is $90 million.\u201cWhen you\u2019re dealing with nearly $2 billion in combined assets, a prenup isn\u2019t a sign of mistrust,\u201d the insider said. \u201cIt\u2019s smart business.\u201d The source also revealed that Travis was in support of Scott\u2019s terms in Taylor\u2019s prenup<\/a>. \u201cTravis respects Scott tremendously,\u201d the insider said. \u201cHe understands that Scott helped build one of the most successful entertainment brands in history. There was never any drama and never any pushback.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source continued, \u201cTaylor has romance in her heart and Scott has business in his head. The prenup isn\u2019t about preparing for failure\u2014it\u2019s about protecting everything they\u2019ve built.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where did Taylor Swift sign her prenup?<\/p>\n

Where Taylor and Travis signed and filed their prenup hasn\u2019t been confirmed yet, but TMZ<\/a> reported that it was down to six states that the couple has ties to: California, Rhode Island, Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, and New York. Taylor owns homes in Rhode Island, New York, and Tennessee, while Travis has a house in Kansas and plays NFL football in Missouri.<\/p>\n

A source for TMZ confirmed that the prenup wasn\u2019t drafted in California. Where Taylor and Travis sign their prenup also changes the terms, as the couple is likely looking for a state that strongly enforces prenuptial agreements, protects separate property, protects business and IP appreciation, gives courts less freedom to rewrite the agreement, and doesn\u2019t give out long-term spousal support.<\/p>\n

Based on this, TMZ<\/a> reported that Rhode Island was the best fit, while New York was the worst due to its reputation of judges who sometimes scrutinize and invalidate prenups.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s possible that Taylor and Travis signed their prenup in Tennessee, where they reportedly got legally married before their wedding in New York. A source claimed to Page Six<\/a> on July 2 that Taylor and Travis got \u201clegally married\u201d in Nashville, Tennessee, where Taylor has two homes, the weekend before their wedding.<\/p>\n

Though their wedding was in New York City, the source confirmed that Taylor and Travis didn\u2019t get married in New York State. The insider also claimed that the couple had a small ceremony in Tennessee, where Taylor moved to when she was 14 years old to start her music career.<\/p>\n

According to a website that tracks Taylor\u2019s private jet, her plane also made several stops on June 28 to cities where her and Travis\u2019 family members live. After leaving Nashville, the plane flew to Philadelphia, where Travis\u2019 dad, Ed, lives, as well as his brother, Jason, and his sister-in-law, Kylie. The plane then flew to Tampa, where Scott lives, before it returned to Nashville. It remained in Nashville until June 30 when it flew to New York City, Taylor\u2019s primary residence.<\/p>\n

What are Taylor Swift\u2019s prenup terms?<\/p>\n

Page Six<\/a> speculated in a post on May 20 that Taylor and Travis\u2019 prenup likely prevent them both from speaking about their marriage in the event of a divorce, though there could be a loophole for her to sing about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cSwift and Kelce may wish to include terms fostering confidentiality and privacy,\u201d Sarah Luetto, a partner at Blank Rome\u2019s Matrimonial & Family Law Group told the site. \u201cThis may include non-disparagement or non-disclosure terms related to their relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

The attorney noted that there are \u201csome exceptions\u201d to the law. \u201cIn Taylor\u2019s case, she would likely not want to include provisions limiting her from singing about her relationship in songs, particularly since there is always so much speculation about the subjects of her songwriting,\u201d Luetto said.<\/p>\n

She also speculated that Taylor likely included terms to limit and clarify what constitutes as community or marital property to \u201cavoid future claims to their creative.\u201d \u201cParticularly when it comes to sequels and prior projects,\u201d she said. \u201cFor example, if Taylor had re-recorded one of her albums during marriage, there would be an argument that the re-record was partially a marital asset.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued. \u201cSimilarly, they may include terms requiring mediation or, in states where permitted, the use of a private judge for any dissolution proceedings. For a high-profile couple like Swift and Kelce, privacy provisions of this nature would be particularly valuable in shielding the details of any potential dispute from public scrutiny.\u201d<\/p>\n
