Funeral details have now been announced for a teenager remembered as a “kind soul” who tragically died after falling from an e-scooter in Co Carlow<\/a>.<\/p>\n Janis Ghirghircic Ozols<\/a> of Willow Park in Carlow was one of two teens who fell from an e-scooter<\/a> while travelling on Carpenters Way in Carlow Town at around 8.30pm on Monday, June 29.<\/p>\n The 17-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to St Luke’s Hospital before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n His friend, also in his late teens, was medically assessed at the scene and did not require immediate hospital treatment.<\/p>\n His heartbroken family announced his death on RIP.ie with his funeral Mass taking place on Monday at 11am in The Holy Family Church, Askea in Carlow.<\/p>\n His burial will take place afterwards in St Mary\u2019s Cemetery, Carlow.<\/p>\n Gardai at the scene after a teenager died after falling off an e-scooter in Carlow. (Image: Niall Carson\/PA Wire)<\/p>\n \u201cMuch loved son of Liga and brothers Roman, Mark, Sandris, Rihards, Ruslan, sister Kora and step father Ingus,\u201d the death notice said.<\/p>\n \u201cPredeceased by his father Tudor, Janis will be sadly missed by his heartbroken mother, brothers, sister, step father, grandparents Valentina and Janis, aunties Santa, Angela, Angela, Natasha, Raia, Maria, Katerina, Nadja, uncle Ivan, beloved cousins and his very special friends Jayden, Marco, Olaf, Mathias and Jasmine. May Janis\u2019s gentle soul rest in peace.\u201d<\/p>\n Janis<\/a> will lie in repose at his home from 2pm on Sunday, July 5 concluding with prayers at 7pm.<\/p>\n Tributes continue to flow for Janis who has been described as a \u201cbeautiful young man with a beautiful smile.\u201d<\/p>\n Paying tribute, one mourner wrote: \u201cSincere condolences to Janis family at this heartbreaking time.<\/p>\n \u201cA beautiful young man with a beautiful smile. RIP Janis,\u201d while another wrote:<\/p>\n \u201cJanis was such a kind soul and it was a privilege to get to know him. I will remember him fondly for his infectious smile and his genuine nature.<\/p>\n \u201cMy thoughts and prayers are with Liga, Marks, Jayden and all of his family and friends. Rest in peace Janis.\u201d<\/p>\n Another mourner wrote: \u201cMy heart is shattered, Janis. All the memories from us growing up going around messing and you listening and being the most beautiful kindest soul it breaks me to not have one last chat.<\/p>\n \u201cYou have done millions for me and all our friends. I just wish things were different. You would walk into a room and make everyone laugh.<\/p>\n “Things will never be the same. It feels like a nightmare. My heart goes out to your family. A friendship I will carry forever.<\/p>\n \u201cI just know you are looking down at everyone still making sure they are okay and hearing our prayers for you.
