{"id":533503,"date":"2026-07-05T01:05:15","date_gmt":"2026-07-05T01:05:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/533503\/"},"modified":"2026-07-05T01:05:15","modified_gmt":"2026-07-05T01:05:15","slug":"44th-annual-ring-of-kerry-charity-cycle-hailed-as-enormous-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/533503\/","title":{"rendered":"44th annual Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle hailed as enormous success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today\u2019s Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle has been hailed as an enormous success and an amazing day.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the 5,000 cyclists who took off from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/news\/series-of-temporary-ring-of-kerry-charity-cycle-road-closures-begin-taking-effect-tomorrow-morning-489618\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mission Road in Killarney<\/a> have made their way around the 170km Ring of Kerry route, past the finish line on Beech Road, with some beginning the cycle before 5am.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-489889\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-07-04-at-17.05.43.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\"\/><\/p>\n<p>No incidents were reported along the route today, while the weather held out in the main for the cyclists, bar some mist towards South Kerry.<\/p>\n<p>The Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle, now in its 44th year, has raised almost \u20ac22 million for charities and community organisations over the years.<\/p>\n<p>PRO of the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle, Cathal Walshe, is at the finish line on Beech Road, where there is live music, entertainment, and refreshments.<\/p>\n<p>Cathaoirleach of the Killarney Municipal District, Cllr John O\u2019Donoghue, says it\u2019s been a huge success.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-489890\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-07-04-at-17.05.34.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Today\u2019s Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle has been hailed as an enormous success and an amazing day.
