\n A series of activities celebrating the artist’s love of nature and humanity will run alongside a major exhibition of his work at Williamson Art Gallery & Museum, Birkenhead.\n<\/p>\n
\n McComb, who passed away in 2018, viewed nature as a beacon of hope and limitless possibility, capturing an all-encompassing joy in his sketchbooks, sculptures, drawings, and paintings.\n<\/p>\n
\n The events aim to provide audiences with an insight into the artist\u2019s perspective and motivation.\n<\/p>\n
\n Liverpool Life Drawing will host sessions alongside McComb’s exhibition, paying homage to his passion for life drawing.\n<\/p>\n
\n These sessions will take place on Friday, August 14, September 11, and October 9.\n<\/p>\n
\n Peter Rainsford will perform a special concert featuring Celtic songs and compositions by Beethoven and Schubert, tailored to the music McComb loved.\n<\/p>\n
\n This will be held on Friday, October 23, with an additional open class on Saturday, October 24.\n<\/p>\n
\n Landlines Studios will conduct workshops where participants can create their own works of art from inks and pigments gathered from the Wirral and North Wales.\n<\/p>\n
\n These sessions will be held on Saturday, September 19, October 3, and October 17.\n<\/p>\n
\n In line with McComb\u2019s philosophy of the inner energy of all life, the gallery will also run yoga and sound bath sessions in the exhibition spaces.\n<\/p>\n
\n These sessions, run by MILAP, will take place on Thursday, September 3.\n<\/p>\n
\n Gallery curator Josh Mackarell will conduct free tours of the exhibition, providing insight into McComb’s artwork and life.\n<\/p>\n
\n These tours will take place on Wednesday, September 2, and Friday, October 2.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Leonard McComb: Nature and Humanity exhibition will showcase more than 60 of the artist\u2019s finest pieces, including items from his estate and select loans from major public and private collections.\n<\/p>\n
\n The exhibition will also feature Rock and Sea Anglesey, the largest drawing on paper held by any UK public collection.\n<\/p>\n
\n The exhibition is scheduled to run from Friday, August 14, until Saturday, October 31.\n<\/p>\n
