An urgent appeal has been issued to Irish Lotto<\/a> players after one lucky punter scooped a massive five-figure prize in Saturday night’s draw.<\/p>\n Last night’s draw produced a dramatic near miss for one player, who came within touching distance of the staggering \u20ac5,915,657 jackpot<\/a>.<\/p>\n While nobody managed to scoop the top prize, one lucky ticket holder was just a single number away from becoming Ireland’s newest multi millionaire after they matched five of the six main numbers, plus the bonus in Saturday’s main Lotto draw.<\/p>\n While they just narrowly missed out on the jaw-dropping \u20ac5.9m jackpot, the Lotto player still has plenty of reason to celebrate as they won a massive consolation prize of \u20ac48,618.<\/p>\n The winning numbers called in the Saturday, July 4, Lotto draw were: 6, 17, 18, 27, 38, 42 and the Bonus was 39.<\/p>\n The National Lottery<\/a> has confirmed that the winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on Thursday, July 2, from Centra Loughville Motors, Lahinch Road, Ennis, Co Clare<\/a>.<\/p>\n Lotto players in Clare are now being urged to check their tickets from Saturday’s draw to see if they have bagged the huge sum.<\/p>\n National Lottery spokesperson Emma Monaghan said, \u201cWhat a fantastic weekend surprise for a Lotto player in Co. Clare who is now set to collect \u20ac48,618 after matching five numbers and the bonus in Saturday night\u2019s draw.<\/p>\n “We are encouraging all of our players who purchased a Quick Pick ticket at Centra Loughville Motors on Lahinch Road in Ennis to check their tickets carefully today.<\/p>\n “The winning ticketholder should sign the back of their ticket and contact our Prize Claims team so that arrangements can be made for them to collect their prize!\u201d<\/p>\n The Clare ticketholder is advised to sign the back of their ticket and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie<\/a>. Arrangements will then be made for them to collect their prize at Lottery Headquarters.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, as there was no winner of the \u20ac5,915,657 jackpot on offer in last night\u2019s Lotto draw, Wednesday\u2019s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated \u20ac6.2 million.<\/p>\n
