One Piece fans looking for the next episode of the long-running anime series may be disappointed to learn that the show is on hiatus this week \u2013 but there’s still reason to be excited.<\/p>\n
While the global phenomenon takes periodic breaks to ease the pressure of production, this latest delay is also to allow breathing room to brand new spin-off One Piece Heroines.<\/p>\n
Adapted from the light novels of the same name, which spotlight various female characters from the One Piece universe, the special puts Straw Hat navigator Nami at the centre of its plot.<\/p>\n
One Piece Heroines premieres in Japan today, Sunday 5 July 2026, and on anime streamer Crunchyroll<\/a>. And, if you were wondering, its Netflix<\/a> launch is slated for Saturday 11 July.
