Intersect Aspen Art + Design, which runs July 28 to Aug. 1, is deepening their partnership with Aspen Community Foundation with the launch of a new initiative,\u00a0\u201cArt for ACF.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
The initiative invites participating galleries to support the Roaring Fork Valley through the sale of artwork during this year\u2019s fair, according to a press release. As part of the initiative, each exhibiting gallery is invited to designate artwork with\u00a015 percent of the net proceeds\u00a0donated to Aspen Community Foundation. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe program reflects Intersect Aspen\u2019s ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful connections between art and community while supporting organizations that strengthen the region year-round,\u201d the release states.<\/p>\n
Founded in 1980, Aspen Community Foundation aims to improve the quality of life across the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys by connecting philanthropy with local needs, supporting nonprofit organizations and connecting partners to address what the release calls \u201cthe region\u2019s most pressing challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Aspen community has shown unwavering support for Intersect Aspen Art + Design, embracing the fair and helping it become an important part of the region\u2019s cultural landscape,\u201d Tim von Gal, CEO of Intersect Art + Design, said in the release. \u201cThe launch of the\u00a0Art for ACF\u00a0initiative is our opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to us. By partnering with Aspen Community Foundation, we hope to help advance the organization\u2019s tireless work strengthening communities from Aspen to Parachute while creating another meaningful way for art to make a lasting impact.\u201d<\/p>\n
Participating artworks\u00a0will receive prominent placement in the entrance corridor of Intersect Aspen Art + Design, the release confirms, as well as on the fair\u2019s website and across social media channels. The initiative will also be recognized during Aspen Community Foundation\u2019s Connect Event on July 23.<\/p>\n
