{"id":535023,"date":"2026-07-06T01:55:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T01:55:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/535023\/"},"modified":"2026-07-06T01:55:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T01:55:10","slug":"man-40s-dies-following-assault-in-dublin-on-friday-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/535023\/","title":{"rendered":"Man (40s) dies following assault in Dublin on Friday \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">A man in his 40s has died in hospital following a serious assault in Dublin early on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Garda\u00ed said they are investigating the now fatal incident, which occurred at Parslickstown Drive, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 at about 3:55am.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Following the assault, a man was brought to hospital to be treated for serious injuries, but has since died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The office of the local coroner has been notified and a postmortem will be carried out in due course, said garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">This investigation is being co-ordinated from an incident room at Blanchardstown Garda station under the direction of a senior investigating officer.
