Datavant, the data collaboration platform used throughout the health care industry, announced Thursday that it has signed an agreement to acquire Israeli startup DigitalOwl, a pioneer in AI-driven medical data analysis. With this acquisition, Datavant says it will expand its capabilities to make health data accessible and actionable for the legal and insurance industries.<\/p>\n
DigitalOwl uses advanced AI to interpret and transform medical records into a comprehensive and interactive digital underwriting abstract. <\/p>\n
Datavant plans to integrate DigitalOwl\u2019s proprietary technology with the health records retrieval and claims intelligence capabilities of Ontellus, which it acquired in June, to offer an end-to-end data collaboration platform. This secure platform will include managed retrieval, automated summaries, chronology and de-duplication, and AI-enabled predictive analytics. Datavant will leverage its expertise in the secure, compliant exchange of medical data to curate and deliver information to authorized users.<\/p>\n
